Salted Caramel Smoothie Bowls

 

Do you love salted caramel as much as we do? How could you not. We're always looking for new ways to indulge in our favourite chocolates and thought what better way to start your day off than with a healthy smoothie bowl that tastes just like your favourite chocolate treats? And you could even add some chunks of the Milk Chocolate Salted Caramel Bar or top with the Salted Caramel Truffles for an extra special morning pick me up.

This recipe comes from Kate O’Brien’s GLOW.

Ingredients:

– 2 bananas, frozen and chopped
– 1 or 2 dates, pitted
– 50-75ml almond milk
– 1 tsp. vanilla extract
– 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
– pinch of sea salt

For the topping

– Fresh berries
– Cacao nibs
– Granola
– Coconut chips
– 1 tbsp. nut or seed butter or 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (depending on your preferred level of sweetness)

Method: 

1. Place all the ingredients, except your toppings, in a blender and blitz 
2. Pour into a bow and add you desired toppings 

3. Enjoy!
